Return and Refund Policy for Gift of Ceed

At Gift of Ceed, we want every gift to bring joy. Whether you are treating yourself or buying something special for a loved one, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If something isn't quite right, this policy outlines how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds.
1. Standard Returns (Change of Mind)
If you or the recipient change your mind about a purchase, you may return the item within 30 days of the delivery or purchase date.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be:
Unused, undamaged, and in the exact condition it was received.
In its original packaging, with all tags and protective seals intact.
Accompanied by the original receipt, order number, or a gift receipt.
Note: The customer or gift recipient is responsible for the courier/shipping costs associated with returning items for a change of mind.
2. Gift Returns
We understand that sometimes a gift might not be the perfect fit.
If you received the item as a gift and have a gift receipt, you can return the item for store credit (a Gift of Ceed gift card) equal to the value of the purchased item.
If you purchased the gift, the refund can be issued directly back to your original method of payment.
3. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
We take great care in curating and packaging our gifts, but accidents can happen during transit. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or is different from what was ordered:
Please contact us within 7 days of receiving the order at support@giftofceed.com with a description and clear photos of the damage or defect.
Gift of Ceed will gladly arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund.
We will cover all courier costs associated with returning and replacing damaged or defective items.
(Under the South African CPA, you also have up to 6 months to return goods that reveal a manufacturing defect).
4. Non-Returnable Items
Because of the nature of the gift industry, certain items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are defective. These include:
Personalized or Custom Gifts: Any item that has been engraved, monogrammed, or custom-made to order.
Perishable Goods: Items such as gourmet food, chocolates, or fresh flowers included in gift baskets.
Intimate or Hygiene Items: Bath and body products, earrings, or cosmetics where the seal has been broken.
Gift Cards: Gift of Ceed gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Sale Items: Items purchased on clearance or marked as "Final Sale."
5. The Return Process
To initiate a return or exchange, please follow these steps:
Reach Out: Email our team at support@giftofceed.com with your order number (or gift receipt number) and the reason for the return.
Approval: Once approved, we will provide you with a Return Authorization (RA) number and instructions on where to send the package.
Pack with Care: Securely pack the item in its original packaging to prevent damage during transit. Include the RA number on the outside of the box.
Ship: Dispatch the package using a trackable courier service. We cannot process refunds for items lost in transit without proof of tracking.
6. Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected by the Gift of Ceed team, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Approved Refunds: A credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment (or a store gift card will be issued for gift returns) within 5 to 10 business days.
Late or Missing Refunds: If you haven’t received a refund within the expected timeframe, please check your bank account again, then contact your bank or credit card company. If the issue persists, please reach out to us.
